2010 Irish Game and Country Fair

28/08/10
Today members of the Rathcormac Gun Club travelled to the Irish Game and Country Fair held on the grounds of Birr Castle, Co. Offaly. This year there were many retailing stalls, selling outdoor clothing and hunting accessories, as-well as a wide range of attractions, activities and competitions ranging from clay pigeon shooting, to falconry, to gundog displays and much more.

In addition to the traditional Game Fair attractions, the fair had a huge range of educational activities, displays and attractions on wildlife and habitat conservation. The Rathcormac Gun Club is always interested in learning more about conservation to improve our own wildlife and habitat conservation scheme so our members took full advantage of this opportunity in meeting with conservation experts, sales reps and enthusiasts.
Pictured to the right is the Rathcormac Gun Club PRO Barry O'Connell with a sales rep from Kings Game Cover and Conservation Crops, discussing the best gamecrop mixtures for our wildlife conservation program.
Over all club members found the fair to be a very enjoyable and educational experience. More members of the Rathcormac Gun Club will be visiting the fair tomorrow so please visit our website again for more news and photos of the fair.
More Photos of the event can be found in our Gallery section.
